Our Commonwealth Games Medals

Our thoughts about the Commonwealth Games

In Scotland people from other countries went to the Commonwealth Games.  Valerie Adams does shot put.  Someone had a missing leg.  She won a gold medal.  New Zealand was so close to winning.  We got 13 gold, 11 silver and 15 bronze.  In cycling someone got a gold.  I was happy so much.

Do you know this is the last day of the Commonwealth Games.  Valerie Adams won a gold medal and my favourite game is gymnastics.  It must be fun to see the games.  My second favourite is judo and rugby sevens.  It’s in Glasgow in Scotland.

The Commonwealth Games were cool.  My favourite game was boxing.  I like the fighting and I like New Zealand because New Zealand got a gold medal.  Valerie Adams is good.

The Commonwealth Games 2014 was in Glasgow in Scotland.  I watched squash, boxing, gymnastics, weightlifting, lawn bowls and netball. There are three medals gold, silver and bronze.  Sadly it’s about to end.  My favourite medal is bronze.  It’s very shiny isn’t it?  Also sadly we got a silver medal in the rugby sevens.  Valerie Adams carried the New Zealand flag.  She does the shot put.  New Zealand won the gold medal in cycling.  Netball is my favourite sport.

Our stories about Lucky the Lamb

In Room 5 Lachie's Nan came in to talk about the cute lamb.  Lucky read the newspaper.  It was funny.  I fed the hungry lamb, Lucky.  He sucked really hard.  I fed him warm milk.  He wagged his tail because he was happy.  He was on a red and black leash.  Lucky was from a farm.

Lachie's Nan brought a lamb into class.  Briar fed the little lamb.  His name was Lucky.  He was called Lucky because he fell down a drain.  When he was in the classroom he read the newspaper.  Lucky the baby lamb sucked really hard.  He felt like a carper.  he made a baaa sound.  his wool was white and curly.

In maths we are learning about weight and capacity.  We have been using the balance scales and weighing objects in grams and kilograms.  Here are some photos of us using the balance scales.

We have completed three different line pictures using crayon and dye.  They look really good on the walls of our classroom!

We have been learning about adjectives and how to use them in our writing to make our stories more interesting.  For homework we chose an adjective presented it.  Look at our amazingly creative results.
