Science Term 1

In Room 5 we have undertaken a variety of science experiments. Here are some examples of our investigations.

Billowing Balloons. We mixed vinegar and baking soda in a bottle. We put a balloon over top of the bottle. The mixture reacted and created a gas that then blew up the balloon!!

Here we are making our own Fire Extinguisher. In a bottle we mixed vinegar and baking soda, it created a gas called carbon dioxide. The gas blew out the candles.

Milk on the Move. In this experiment we used whole milk, which has lots of fat in it. Added food colouring and dish liquid. The dish liquid breaks down the fat in the milk and causes the mixture to twirl  and swirl around together.
